Uganda Gorilla Trekking Safari
Viewing gorillas in the wild is a breathtaking and
humbling wildlife encounter! Follow our team of expert
guides and native trackers as you bushwhack through the
Bwindi Impenetrable Forest in search of a family of
mountain gorillas. We plan two days of gorilla tracking
so you have the best chances of finding one of several
gorilla groups with an opportunity for observation
up-close and personal. But, Uganda is so much more than
gorillas. You hike in the Kibale Forest, take game
drives and boat trips in Queen Elizabeth National Park,
and stay in Mbarara town to ensure that you see the full
range of Ugandan wildlife and culture. We recommend an
extension to Murchison Falls National Park for stunning
scenery, wildlife encounters, and the spectacular falls
themselves. All gorilla permits are included in
this safari.

Bwindi gorilla tracking safari in
Uganda:
3 days (2 nights) Express gorilla
Trek Bwindi Impenetrable Forest
National Park safari in Uganda.
Day One
Early in the morning set off for
Bwindi Impenetrable forest National
Park. This safari will take a
minimum of nine hours. Make a brief
stop at the Equator line.
The drive takes you through the
grasslands of Ankole, a common sight
is the famous long horned cattle;
then to the highlands of Kigezi with
their beautifully terraced hills.
Break off for lunch at any hotel
enroute. Continue with the journey
through beautiful scenery and arrive
Bwindi National Park in the evening.
This park is home of the rare
mountain gorillas. Apart from
gorillas, there are a wide variety
of primates to see including the
blue and red tailed monkeys. The
forest itself is lush and green and
there are streams running through
it.
You will check in at Buhoma
Homestead/Community Bandas, for
dinner and overnight. The Homestead
is a mini resort inside a thick
forest providing clean accommodation
with cold and warm showers, flushing
toilets and solar power lighting.
While the community bandas offer
basic services.
Day Two
After breakfast set off early with
your guide for gorilla tracking. The
thrill of your encounter will erase
the difficulties of the potentially
strenuous trek.
Bring jungle boots and rain jackets
because the park is often wet. Spend
time in awe watching the gorillas go
about their activities. Each
encounter is different and has it’s
own rewards, but you are likely to
enjoy the close view of adults
feeding, grooming and resting as the
youngsters frolic and swing from
vines in a delightfully playful
display.
