Ngorongoro Safari
The Ngorongoro Conservation Area stretches from the
Karatu Highlands to the Serengeti and covers an area of
around 8300 sq km. Formed by the same immense geological
upheavals as the Great Rift Valley, Ngorongoro was once
a mountain as high as Kilimanjaro. About 3 million years
ago, it blew up, covering the Serengeti in ash. The
crater floor sank leaving the rim to form a natural
enclosure 2,285 metres high.
While on a Ngorongoro Safari the most amazing experience
is viewing the crater for the first time. As your
vehicle slowly ascends through mountain forests you will
feel it getting colder and colder. Eventually you reach
the rim, and dropping sharply off in front of you is
Ngorongoro Crater.
Ngorongoro Crater is the best self-contained safari
destination in the world. The world's largest unbroken
caldera, it is often referred to as the 'Garden of
Eden'. The rich pasture and permanent water of the
crater floor shelters a large population of animals. In
fact, the crater floor is one of the most densely
crowded game areas in the world and is home to about
30,000 animals. The open grassland makes it easy to
police, so it is also a stronghold for endangered
species like black rhino and cheetah.

Departs daily
Day 1. Lake Manyara
Departing from Arusha in the morning, drive
to Lake Manyara or Tarangire National Park
with lunch boxes. Proceed on a game drive on
arrival. Dinner and overnight at camp.
Day 2. Serengeti
After breakfast depart for Serengeti with a
game drive and picnic lunch en route and in
the afternoon. Dinner and overnight at
Seronera Campsite.
Day 3. Serengeti/Ngorongoro
Begin your morning game drive after
breakfast. Depart in the afternoon for
Ngorongoro Crater with a game drive and
optional visit to Olduvai Gorge en route.
Dinner and overnight at camp at Simba
campsite.
Day 4. Ngorongoro/Arusha
After breakfast descend into the crater
floor for crater tour with picnic lunches.
Depart mid-afternoon for Arusha arriving
early evening.

Day 1. Lake Manyara Camping Safaris.
Leave Arusha arriving by lunch time, proceed
to Lake Manyara National Park for afternoon
game drive. Dinner and overnight at
campsite.
Day 2. Ngorongoro.
Morning game drive in Lake Manyara. After
breakfast depart for Ngorongoro, one of the
natural wonders of the world. Meals and
overnight at campsite.
Day 3. Ngorongoro crater.
After early morning breakfast, leave with
picnic lunch for a full day crater tour, you
will be taken 2000ft down the crater by a
4wheel drive vehicle. Explore the crater
before ascending back to the camp for dinner
and overnight.
Day 4. Serengeti.
After breakfast depart for Serengeti passing
through Olduvai Gorge the archeological site
of Leakey’s family. Meals and overnight at
campsite.
Day 5. Serengeti.
A full day with morning and afternoon game
drives to explore the plains. Dinner and
overnight at campsite.
Day 6. Tarangire.
After breakfast in Serengeti drive to
