Lake Manyara Safari
A Lake Manyara Safari is often overlooked. Many people
pass Lake Manyara National Park in their rush to the
Serengeti. However, we recommend you consider this
enchanting and interesting park. Although small, it is
one of the prettiest and most game rich parks in the
country.
Lake Manyara is a long thin park only about 330 sq km in
size. Two thirds of the park consists of water, with the
Great Rift Valley Escarpment rising sharply and
dramatically along the western side.
Remember to keep looking up while you are in the park.
Lake Manyara is well known for its tree climbing lions
and there are also plenty of leopards. You'll need some
luck to see them though, so don't be disappointed if
they elude you.
Lake Manyara is a great safari spot for bird viewing and
also has a healthy population of ungulates such as
buffalo and wildebeest. Many animals can be seen grazing
the new shoots on the floodplain and wallowing in the
shallows of the lake, while further out pods of hippos
bob.

Day 1. Ngorongoro.
Leave Arusha in the morning and proceed to
Ngorongoro arriving in time for lunch.
Afternoon game drive in the crater. Dinner

After breakfast leave with picnic lunch for
Lake Manyara. Afternoon game drive in the
park. Dinner and overnight at campsite in

After an early morning game drive, breakfast

Day 1. Lake Manyara.

Day 2. Lake Manyara - Ngorongoro crater.
After early breakfast depart for Ngorongoro
crater, arriving in time for lunch.
Afternoon game drive on the floor of the

Day 3. Tarangire National Park.

Day 4. Arusha.
After breakfast enjoy a morning game viewing
drive in the Tarangire National Park. Return
to campsite for lunch, and in the afternoon

Day 2. Lake Manyara - Ngorongoro.
After morning game drive in Lake Manyara
proceed to the 'eights wonder of the world',
the Ngorongoro Crater. Dinner and overnight
at campsite.
Day 3. Ngorongoro Crater.
After early breakfast a 4wheel drive vehicle
will take you 2000ft down the crater,
tracking animals. Picnic lunch at the crater
before ascending back to the campsite for
dinner and overnight.
Day 4. Tarangire National Park.
After breakfast drive to Tarangire.
Afternoon game drive, meals and overnight at
campsite.
Day 5. Tarangire-Arusha.
After breakfast proceed for a morning game
viewing drive, return to our campsite for

through Olduvai Gorge, the site of the
Leakey family discovery of fossils of human
and animal ancestors dating back to almost
two million years. Meals and overnight at

Day 3 Serengeti
Full day in Serengeti plains, search for
wild game you might have missed the previous
game drives. Morning and afternoon game
drives. Meals and overnight at campsite.
Day 4 Ngorongoro
After breakfast a 4-wheel drive vehicle will
take you 2000ft down to the crater, enjoy
picnic lunch at the crater, ascend back to

Day 1. Arusha Nat. Park
Pick up from your hotel and depart at 9.00am
for Arusha National Park with your lunch
boxes for a full day tour of the park,
including the option of walking half day
with a park ranger. Drive to Tarangire
National Park for dinner and overnight.
Day 2. Tarangire
After breakfast begin your game drives in
Tarangire, transferring to Lake Manyara at
the end of the day. Dinner and overnight at
camp.
Day 3. Lake Manyara
After breakfast, drive to Lake Manyara Park
for full day game drives with picnic lunch.
Dinner and overnight at camp.
Day 4. Serengeti
Depart Manyara after breakfast for Serengeti
National Park with a game drive en route.
After a picnic lunch, proceed with an

at Seronera or Lobo Campsite.
Day 5. Serengeti
Full day of game viewing in Serengeti with

Day 6. Ngorongoro
Following your morning game drive, depart
for Ngorongoro Crater with a game drive en
route and an optional stop at Olduvai Gorge
Museum. Dinner and overnight will be at
Simba Campsite.
Day 7. Ngorongoro/Arusha
After an early breakfast descend into the
crater floor for a full day crater tour -
departing mid afternoon for Arusha to arrive
early evening.
