6 Days Masai Mara , Lake Nakuru and Bogoria


Day 1: Nairobi/Masai Mara
We leave Nairobi by safari bus going south through the Rift Valley. Picnic lunch will be served on the way. We will pass Narok to climb the Western Wall entering Hemingway's "Serengeti Plains". Late afternoon we will arrive at campsite. There will be time for a game drive either en-route to the camp or after arrival.
Dinner will be served at the camp.

Day 2: Masai Mara
We will take an early morning and late afternoon game drive to explore and enjoy the Masai Mara in search of the "Big Five". All meals are taken at the camp or lodge and served by our camp or lodge chef.

Day 3: Masai Mara
A second day to feel the wonderful atmosphere unique to this National Park while at the same time enjoying the game playing out their normal lives before our very eyes. Morning and afternoon game drives.

Day 4: Masai Mara/Nakuru
A pre-breakfast game drive before returning to the camp for breakfast and our departure for Lake Nakuru. A picnic lunch will be served on the way. Lake Nakuru is a bird's paradise, especially for the flamingoes. In fact Lake Nakuru is quite often called "The Pink Lake". Apart from birds, Nakuru also offers a wide variety of small game such as Rhino, Water Buck, Impala, Buffalo and Gazelle. Dinner will be served as a simple but clean hotel to include an overnight stay with hot showers. The lodge clients will be dining and sleeping at Lake Nakuru Lodge.

Day 5: Lake Nakuru/ Lake Baringo
During the morning we will game view at Lake Nakuru before proceeding to Lake Baringo after lunch. Boat trips are available on this lake and are available to our clients. There is an extra charge for this service. Dinner and overnight rest at the camp in our mobile two person tents or at the Lake Baringo Lodge.

Day 6: Lake Bogoria/ Nairobi
This is the true naturalists lake with flamingoes in their thousands. We will be able to explore on foot but caution must be taken while walking near the hot springs. In the afternoon we will depart from Nairobi to arrive late evening.


8 DAYS MASAI MARA/NAKURU/BOGORIA /BARINGO/SAMBURU

DAY 1: NAIROBI/ MASAI MARA.
09.30 hrs: Leave Nairobi for Masai Mara Game Reserve. Picnic lunch en-route. Game drive in search of black-manned lions, elephants, leopards, cheetah, buffaloes and other plains game en-route. Dinner and overnight at the camp.

DAY 2: MASAI MARA.
06.30 hrs: After breakfast proceed for a full day game drive with picnic lunch. After lunch a further game drive. Dinner and overnight at the camp/ lodge.


DAY 3: MASAI MARA.
Morning spent game viewing. All meals and overnight at the camp. Afternoon optional visit to the Masai village at an extra cost.


DAY 4: MASAI MARA/ NAKURU.
After breakfast leave for Nakuru, game drive en-route. Picnic or hot lunch en-route, arriving in the late afternoon. Dinner and overnight at Nakuru camp/lodge.


DAY 5: LKE BARINGO/ BOGORIA.
Depart for Lake Baringo, have a boat trip to view the many birds, which inhibit this lake. After lunch, proceed to Lake Bogoria to explore on foot this naturalists lake and hot springs. Return to Nakuru in the evening, dinner and overnight at camp /lodge.


DAY 6: NAKURU/ SAMBURU.
Pre-breakfast game drive in Lake Nakuru National Park. After breakfast leave for Samburu with a brief stop over to see the Thompson falls. Lunch en-route arriving late afternoon. Dinner and overnight at the camp / lodge.


DAY 7: SAMBURU.
Morning and late afternoon spent game viewing, animals such as the graceful Gerenuk, Kudu, Grevy Zebra, reticulated Giraffe as well as the blue shanked Somali ostrich can be seen. Look out for the Leopards in the trees. Lions and Elephants can also be easily sighted. All meals are served at the camp/ Lodge. Retire for the evening at the camp / lodge.


DAY 8: SAMBURU/ NAIROBI.
0.800 hrs: After breakfast, enjoy your last game drive as you depart from Nairobi to arrive in the late afternoon
 

LAKE BOGORIA & BARINGO SAFARIS

Lake Baringo lies in the solitude of the semi-desert of the northern Rift Valley, a haven of beauty in harsh, rugged but majestic surroundings. In this fresh water lake hippo and crocodile abound but most visitors are entranced by the multitude of birds with over 400 species having been identified. Bird watching is by boat or on foot. The area is home to the Njemps tribe and a visit to a local Njemps village can easily be arranged to watch traditional crafts being made and tribal dancing.

9days/8 Nights. Samburu/Lake Nakuru/Lake Bogoria/Lake Naivasha/Maasai Mara.

Day 1. Nairobi/Samburu. Amboseli N. Park
Depart Nairobi in the morning and drive to the north rugged semi desert region arriving in time for lunch at lodge. Afternoon game drive. Dinner and overnight at samburu lodge /Serena lodge.

Day 2. Samburu
Early morning and afternoon game viewing drive at Samburu in search of the rarely found species of wild game like the rare liver-red reticulated Giraffe, Grevy's zebra, the long necked Gerenuk Antelopes. Beisa Oryx, blue flanked Somali Ostrich, Vulturine guinea fowl and also braving lions on the grass, Leopards and plenty of other plains game. In between meals there is optional visit to the Samburu villages if clients so wish.All meals and overnight at at Samburu lodge/ Serena lodge.

Day 3. Lake Nakuru National Park
Breakfast at lodge in Samburu and afterwards you depart southwards via Thomson falls arriving Lake Nakuru in time for lunch at lake Nakuru lodge/Sarova Lionhill, Afternoon game viewing at the Pink lake referred so for it's thousands of pink flamingos and other birdlife-it's a bird watchers and a Rhino sanctuary ,The "Big Five" except the Elephant can be seen here,dinner and overnight at Lake Nakuru lodge/Sarova Lionhill lodge.

Day 4.Lake Bogoria/Lake Baringo.
Early Breakfast at lodge and have a short game drive as you depart for Lake Bogoria arriving for lunch at Lake Bogoria Hotel. Afternoon game drive to search for the shy greater Kudu among other wild game and Birds, Visit the Hot Boiling geysers. Dinner and overnight at Lake Bogoria Hotel.

Day 5.Lake Naivasha.
Morning breakfast at Lake Bogoria hotel followed by a visit to the Lake Baringo, Afterwards proceed to Lake Naivasha a gem in the necklace of Rift Valley lakes. Arrive in time for lunch at Lake Naivasha Country Club/Similar. Afternoon at Leisure or take optional boat rides or you can visit the Hells Gate. Dinner and overnight at Lake Naivasha Country Club/similar.

Day 6. Maasai Mara National Reserve.
Early Breakfast and game viewing as you depart for Maasai Mara crossing the loita plains, view scenarios enroute including Lake Elementaita, Mt.Longonot, as well see red-clad maasai warriors tend their multi-colored herds amongst plains game. Game viewing enroute to Mara Sopa lodge/Mara Simba lodge for lunch. Afternoon game drive inside the scenic park well known for great concentration of wildgame. Dinner and overnight at Mara sopa lodge/Mara Simba lodge.

Day 7 & 8. Maasai Mara National Reserve.
Full days to explore the magic Mara, breakfast at your lodge and leave with picnic lunches for a full day of game viewing inside the Park. Search for wildgame including the huge black manned lion for which Mara is famous for, splendid cheetah, African buffalo,wildebeest(gnus),zebra, leopard, grants gazelle are quite common, even the rare rhino might come out of the thicket for you, hyenas are plentiful, Extend your drive to the hippo point where schools of hippo submerge on the approach of vehicles only to surface seconds later to shot and gamble their displeasure as the crocodiles sunbathe on the river banks mouths agape. Between meals there is optional visit to the maasai villages for an insight to their culture if clients so wish. Meals and overnight at Mara Sopa Lodge/Mara Simba lodge. (Optional Balloon safari at US$425 per person)

Day 9.Nairobi.
Breakfast at lodge, Enroute game viewing as you leave the park arriving Nairobi late afternoon.
