This 4 days safari features both Maasai Mara Game Reserve and Lake Nakuru National Park.

Maasai Mara Game Reserve is Kenya's most spectacular of all Kenyan parks and reserves, and here you have the best opportunity of spotting the Big Five - lion, leopard, buffalo, rhino and elephant. The Reserve covers an area of 700 square miles and forms part of the Serengeti ecosystem and hence hosts the world famous spectacle of the annual migration of up to two million wildebeest, thousands of zebra and an escort of carnivores from the Serengeti plains, following the rains and succulent new grass.

Lake Nakuru is one of the greatest world’s famous bird spectacles with over 400 bird species besides the flamingoes that carpet the lake. Other than the bird population, Lake Nakuru Park has its fair share of wildlife and many species of game can be found in the park including the introduced Rothschild’s giraffe, waterbuck, reedbuck, lion, buffalo, leopard, baboon and many species of plains game.

4 Days Masai Mara - Lake Nakuru Camping Safari Itinerary

Day 1: Nairobi/Maasai Mara
Depart Nairobi in the morning and drive along the floor of the Rift Valley to Maasai Mara Game Reserve arriving Masai mara camp in time for lunch. Afternoon game drive. Dinner and overnight at the masai mara campsite.
Approx Transit time: 5½ hrs

Day 2: Maasai Mara
Spend the day in Maasai Mara, Kenya's most popular game sanctuary where you will have the best opportunity of spotting the Big Five - lion, leopard, buffalo, rhino and elephant.
Game drives are flexible, with the option of going out with picnic lunch boxes to spend entire day in the the park, or you can choose to have early morning and late afternoon game drives.
You will also have the option of visiting a local Maasai village (US$25 per person) or enjoy the Balloon Safari USD425.
All meals and overnight at masai mara campsite.

Day 3: Maasai Mara/Lake Nakuru
Depart Maasai Mara after breakfast for Lake Nakuru National Park, arriving nakuru in time for lunch. Afternoon game drive. Besides the flamingos that the lake is famous for, there are approx 400 other species of birds visiting the lake. Also, many species of game can be found in the park including the introduced Rothschild's giraffe, black and white rhino, waterbuck, reedbuck, lion, buffalo, leopard, baboon and many species of plains game.
Dinner and overnight at the Lake nakuru budget Hotel.

Day 4: Lake Nakuru/Nairobi
Another morning game drive in Nakuru then depart for Nairobi arriving approx. 1300 hrs. Drop at your hotel or transfer to the airport for onward flight home. End of services.

Lake nakuru Camping Safaris masai Mara


5 Days Lake Nakuru | Masai mara

Day 1: Lake Nakuru
Drive through coffee plantations near Limuru, descent into the Great Rift Valley, arriving at the famous Bird Sanctuary and the Rhino Sanctuary of Lake Nakuru in time for lunch. Afternoon game drive viewing the big five, except the elephant. Dinner and overnight at campsite.

Day 2: Maasai Mara
After heavy breakfast, drive past the extinct volcano of Mt. Longonot. Arrive at the famous Maasai Mara in time for lunch. Afternoon game drive and overnight at the Mara campsite.

Day 3 & 4: Maasai Mara
Enjoy a day of uninterrupted game drives in this popular reserve, renowned for its huge numbers of plains' game such as wildebeest and zebra and its majestic predators (the lion being the gold). Other big five namely the elephant, the buffalo roam freely in the plains. Lunch and overnight at campsite.

Day 5: Nairobi.
After breakfast, bid farewell to the Mara as you return to Nairobi, arriving good time for lunch.

Day 1: Lake Nakuru
Depart Nairobi in the morning for Lake Nakuru arriving in time for lunch. Afternoon game drive. Dinner and overnight at campsite

Day 2: Lake Naivasha
Morning game drive at Lake Nakuru. After breakfast depart for Lake Naivasha arriving in time for lunch at Fisherman's camp. Afternoon at leisure (optional boat rides). Dinner and overnight at Fisherman's camp.

Day 3: Maasai Mara
Breakfast at Fisherman's camp and depart for Maasai Mara arriving in time for lunch. Afternoon game drive. Dinner and overnight at campsite in Masai mara.

Day 4: Maasai Mara
Full day in Maasai Mara. With morning and afternoon game drive. All meals and overnight at campsite in masai mara.

Day 5: Nairobi
