Day 1 Nairobi - Masai Mara

After breakfast depart from our Nairobi  for a journey south along the floor of the Great Rift, and then climb the western wall entering Hemmingway’s country 'Serengeti Plains'. Arrive in the Maasai Mara Game reserve in time for lunch. Afternoon game drives. Dinner and overnight at the camp.

Day 2 Masai Mara

A full day is spent for game viewing across the rich, tree studded grasslands and rolling hills. The famous Masai Mara is renowned for its great herds of plains’ game; black manned, leopard and cheetah, but also contains numerous elephant and virtually every type of wildlife to be found in Kenya. This park is perhaps the most prolific in the world and definitely the best game park in the world too for the most approachable game. All meals and overnight at the campsite.

Day 3 Masai Mara - Nairobi

Pre-breakfast game drives. After breakfast in Masai mara depart for Nairobi arriving late afternoon.

Ground Handling For Our Kenya Camping Safaris
On all our Kenya camping safaris, roomy 2-man tents with foam mattresses are provided for sleeping. Highly experienced cooks serve three excellent meals each day. We advice you to come with your own alcohol to have around the campfire in the evenings as it is not always available en route (should you wish). At Masai Mara, Samburu and Amboseli, there are semi-permanent camps where our clients find everything waiting for them on arrival. At Amboseli and Samburu, there are no shower facilities at the campsites but for a small fee, a shower or a swim can be arranged at the nearby game lodges. At Nakuru and Mt. Kenya, we do not have camping facilities and accommodations are provided at comfortable but budget hotels. Transport is in a 9-seater purpose-built safari minibuses of superior comfort. Every vehicle has a propped-up roof for optimum game viewing and photography.

Though security, safety and comfort of our clients is provided, Kenya camping safaris being adventurous safaris, certain dangers and risks are likely to be encountered. We regret that Africa Magical Tours. (and our agents) cannot be held responsible in case of occurrence of one or more of the following: Illness, infection, injury, or death of a client however caused. Damage to or loss of any property of any client however caused. What you need to bring (for camping safaris only):
Sleeping bag (optionally, you can purchase a blanket from us instead!)
Small suitcase or rucksack as storage space on our bases is limited (excess luggage can be securely left at our offices, free of charge).
Sturdy safari clothes, jeans, T-shirts, jumper, or anorak for cool evenings and early mornings.
Torch, toiletries, bath towel and insect repellant
Film for the duration of the safari
And, of course, personal spending money!!! (for drinks, showers and swimming)

NB: Most of these items are available locally and can be purchased in Kenya upon arrival. However, we recommend you bring them from your country.
